The new addition includes 24 sleeping rooms, a gymnasium, classrooms, administration intake and admissions, visitation areas, medical holding area, and a small kitchen. The existing kitchen and laundry areas were used for the new juvenile facility. The water heater in the juvenile facility can be used as a backup water heater for the adult facility kitchen and laundry. The heating water boilers are two 2,300-MBH condensing boilers and the water heaters are two 700-MBH boilers with three packaged VAV rooftop units at approximately 85 tons of DX cooling.  

The project utilized institution grade plumbing fixtures, air devices, and fire protection sprinklers.  Boilers and piping systems are sized to handle the future build-out of another 20-bed housing wing.
