The administration area and courts of the existing detention center were remodeled to enlarge the kitchen, laundry, District Attorney’s office, and Sheriff’s spaces.

Mechanical:

  • Rooftop air-handling units were replaced with new split DX air handlers with hot water heating coils.
  • Aerco hot water condensing boilers were installed, due to the footprint size characteristics and high-efficiency operation.

Electrical:

  • An approximate 16 KW photovoltaic system was provided and installed on a structure above the roof, facing south.
  • The lighting control system consists of lighting relay panels with integral time clocks, manual override switches, and photocells. Photocells control exterior lighting and interior atrium lighting.
