Commissioning Technician

Cator, Ruma & Associates (located in Lakewood, CO) is seeking a former Navy Nuke to lead, support and execute building commissioning. Position requires an experienced self-starter capable of successfully commissioning mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional facilities.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform commissioning design reviews and comments
  • Performs site observations relevant to our specific Commissioning scope of work
  • Review submittal documents for consistency with OPR and BOD
  • Develop commissioning requirements/plans including commissioning project specifications
  • Prepare pre-functional and functional test procedures
  • Develop and/or review systems manuals, assist with writing and assembly of commissioning reports
  • Take an active role in business development and expansion
  • Maintain strong client relationships

OUR COMMISSIONING TEAM IS LED BY A FORMER NAVY NUKE AND HAS MULTIPLE NAVY NUKES ON STAFF

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Engineering Degree preferred or pursing Engineering Degree
  • Honorably Discharged
  • Qualified Engine Room Supervisor (Subs)
  • Engineering Watch Supervisor preferred (Subs)
  • Chief Machinery Operator or Chief Reactor Watch (Surface)
  • Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor preferred (Surface)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to relocate to Denver, Boise, or Cheyenne
