This new 87,600-square-foot, four-story building provides comprehensive services and treatment for cancer patients.
- New construction building
- Utilized fast track methodology to meet schedule
Cator, Ruma & Associates provided mechanical engineering design and commissioning services for the new Comprehensive Cancer Center, the latest addition to the Good Samaritan Medical Center. The four-story, 87,600-square-foot state-of-the-art facility supports the following program types: radiation/oncology, medical oncology, pharmacy, laboratory, integrated care, and physician office space.
To provide the best possible care for patients, the facility includes two linear accelerator vaults, a lead-lined PET-CT room, a brachytherapy treatment vault, physics labs, patient exam rooms, infusion bay and clinical offices.
In order to meet an aggressive schedule, the project was designed and built utilizing a “fast track” methodology.
