This is a 275-bed, full-service 671,000-square-foot replacement hospital for St. Anthony Central Hospital (located in Denver). An 147,000-square-foot orthopedic tower was integrated into the main hospital. This complex also incorporates a 400-car parking structure. The facility has an 18,000-square-foot central utility plant.

The utility plant was fitted with three 500 BHP dual fuel (gas/#2 fuel oil) packaged Scotch Marine boilers. Two 1,000-ton chillers were provided, and two 1,000-ton cooling towers were selected to match the capacity of the chillers. A double-ended 4,000 Amp, 480/277V, 3-phase switchgear line-up with main/tie/main configuration and two 2,500 kVA transformers were provided. Two 2,500 KW (Rated at 2,000 KW at 5,200 feet above sea level) emergency generators were provided with provisions for a third and fourth generator. The generators are located in the Central Utility Plant and are equipped with unit mounted radiators. Day tanks were provided in addition to exterior below grade tanks for storage of #2 diesel fuel oil. A 72-hour supply of fuel was provided.

The critical care departments include operating suites, intensive care, trauma rooms, nurseries, imaging suites (MRIs, CT scan, linear accelerators, and other radiology equipment), and Information Technology (IT) equipment rooms. Other spaces include the emergency department, pharmacy, kitchen, dining, and a helipad.

Future expansion provisions were made for two additional floors and a cardiac tower of approximately 200,000-square-feet.
